Why make bioethanol from waste?

The world oil resources are shrinking while its energy demand is growing. Global CO2 emissions have to be cut down,  especially in the transport sector.

Waste is generated globally – waste management solutions are needed locally. Energy resides in waste – why not make the most of the resources?

We at St1 Biofuels use these challenges as feedstock for our technology development. The production of biofuels needs to be feasible, cost- efficient and sustainable. Bioethanol produced from domestic waste and process residues is all this.

The technology and feedstock for waste-based bioethanol are available. It is time to produce better transport fuels.
